About Us

Haymarket is no longer accepting orders at this time. Thank you for five wonderful years of business.

Cleveland is a city with a storied history as a retail destination. From Higbee’s to Halle’s to the aromatic Morrow’s Nut House in the Park Building on Public Square. Euclid Avenue was once in the company of major shopping streets such as 5th and Michigan Avenues in New York and Chicago. We at Haymarket Cleveland are aiming to bring some of that magic back to Euclid Avenue. The city that we call home is changing rapidly, and we are excited about the possibility of being a part of returning Euclid Ave to its former glory.

Haymarket Cleveland is a classic general store with a modern aesthetic. We carry a combination of local and national brands with a focus on style, substance and sustainability. Our mission is to provide you with a place to find a wide variety of hand picked items to make your space unique. We believe that every space offers an opportunity for inspiration, and we are here to help you find that special something that inspires you. Thank you for shopping with us and we hope to see you soon in downtown Cleveland.

History Lesson:

We chose the name Haymarket as a nod to Cleveland’s history. The Haymarket was a neighborhood roughly bounded by Ontario Street and the Cuyahoga River in downtown Cleveland. The Haymarket developed after 1839 and became a marketplace for farmers selling their hay and produce. The neighborhood declined after the Civil War and the name is now a relic of Cleveland history. As lovers of Cleveland history, we thought it was important to reference the old while embracing the new. We love when customers come in and chat with us about the city, so any time you are in the neighborhood, stop by for a Cleveland history chat.
